RELIEF-2 Study: Managing Endometriosis Pain With At-Home Brain Stimulation

Randomized wearable device study for endometriosis pain management

Join a 24-week virtual study evaluating how a non-invasive, wearable device affects pelvic pain, mood, and sleep in people with endometriosis. This study will help researchers understand how at-home neuromodulation might support daily well-being and reduce discomfort.

About This Study

At-Home Remote Study
No clinic visits. Everything is shipped to your door. You’ll complete online check-ins and remote screenings throughout the study.
Compensation Available
Participants who meet adherence requirements will receive up to $2000 via two Amazon gift card payments, issued at month 3 and month 6.
Optional Wearable Device
If you own a compatible device (Fitbit, Oura, Garmin, WHOOP, Apple Watch), you can connect it to provide objective sleep and recovery metrics alongside your surveys.
Collected Data
Daily surveys collected on the Alethios platform. Optional wearable device connected for sleep quantity and quality and HRV.

What's Involved

You’ll use the device for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 12 weeks. During the study you’ll complete brief daily surveys on pain, sleep, mood, and activity, plus occasional questionnaires on anxiety, depression, sleep quality, and quality of life. You may also choose to share data from a wearable device. You’ll continue your usual medications and routines. After the 12-week treatment period, there’s a 12-week follow-up with a short end-of-study survey to assess ongoing effects.

Verify Eligibility and Enroll

Complete a short screening questionnaire through our online platform to confirm eligibility for the study. If eligible, you’ll review the study details and sign an electronic consent form through the Alethios platform.

Onboard Via Diagnosis Confirmation

Confirm your diagnosis of endometriosis by a qualified physician, via: laparoscopic surgery with biopsy-proven endometriosis, OR clear evidence of ovarian endometrioma or deep infiltrating endometriosis on ultrasound/MRI

Complete Daily Stimulation and Check Ins

Use the device 20 mins a day, 5 days a week, for 12 weeks and complete daily and weekly surveys.

Close out and compensation up to $2000

Adherent participants will receive two Amazon gift card payments, issued at month 3 and month 6.
